We chose this rug because it is washable for the high-travelled entryway, low piled so our front door doesn't push it around, and it is abstract with the colors we like. It is a great rug for all those aspects. It is grippy on the bottom as well so it doesn't move. The colors are great and not washed out like some rugs appear. Blue, gray, off-white, salmon, and the rust/maroon all look great together. There is basically no pile to it, and the edges are sewn. There is a slight unevenness to one edge where it doesn't lie perfectly flat, which is the only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 star review. We are very happy with the rug and its shipping speed was great.
