Good rug, a little wonky in shape. Lid it down on Saturday, if is settling nicely. No weird smell. The two short ends appear to be rushed under and “hemmed”, which makes it a bit of a challenge for walking. Overall, ok.

Attractive and comfortable
What surprised me the most was how comfortable the jute fiber was underfoot, not scratchy at all. It is also thick and substantial. It is an effort to keep it aligned, so I’m getting a rug pad to keep it straight, even though I use another rug over it. The one issue I have with it is the size of the weave. In the photo it looks like a tightly woven design, but in reality each plait is about an inch wide, which is not the finished look I’d planned on, which allows debris to be caught more so than a tighter weave. Happily it’s in the living room, not our dining or family room, so with a daily vacuum I’m hoping to keep it fresh. I’d advise asking for a sample before purchasing an entire rug if it’s a natural fiber.
