I really like my new rug. It does have a pile similar to velvet, so the color looks different depending on the direction of the pile.

The color is definitely a little more reddish orange, but it's still very pretty. I used 3 to do a stair runner and it worked beautifully.

Overall the rug is beautiful. I love how soft it is. There was no pad suggestion so I went and bought a high-quality rug pad that is specifically for washable rugs. If the rug pad doesn’t go edge to edge it still flips up. After the first or second time vacuuming it the borders were frayed and rippled. Also, you can’t vacuum the rug normal unless you have a very low suction vacuum. After having the rug for a few months it seems like the colors have changed. I decided to give it a wash before I wrote the review to see if the colors restored. Although the rug handled the wash/did not get ruined The colors did not come back.
