1. Regularly vacuum the rug using a low-power setting, ensuring to approach from various angles due to the natural fiber's loose threads and knots.
2. Should you encounter loose threads on the rug's surface, trim them using household scissors. To prevent damage or unraveling, avoid pulling threads from the rug's face.
3. In the event of spills, blot gently with a clean, undyed cloth to absorb as much of the spill as possible, working from the edges towards the center to prevent spreading.
4. If you decide to use cleaning solvents, test on a small hidden area first.
5. For stubborn stains, seek the services of a professional cleaner who specializes in natural fiber rugs.
6. Avoid dry cleaning as the harsh chemicals can damage or cause fading in the rug.
